The committee named the 2 pairs of posts: Malik with Syrdarya, Ok Oltin with Tselinny. Both pairs are to work day and night, the committee said, to take the load off the crossings; the decision is Uzbekistan's and Kazakhstan's together, and the committee gave no venue or date for it.
Gishtkuprik, the customs post on the Kazakh border, is to be commissioned in the fourth quarter, October to December 2026, the committee said. The post's capacity and the cost of the works were not given.

The number the committee did give is the traffic: more than 9,200 trucks through the Syrdarya post in September, 10% more than in September 2025. On the Kazakh side the transit count runs the same way. Kazakhstan's customs recorded 1.1 million transit declarations in the first 8 months of the year, 19% more than a year earlier, 814,500 of them for goods from China, Kazinform reported on 23 September.
Last week's crossing news came from the other border: on 24 September Mirziyoyev ordered a crossing to Kyrgyzstan at Keskanyor twice the size of Dustlik. The Kazakh border gets longer hours now and a commissioning date for Gishtkuprik.
