Since 2020 the Bank has backed the early childhood programme with an original $73 million, $70 million of it from the International Development Association and $3 million from the GFF, by Asia-Plus’s account. Better medical services for children, the training of specialists and a digital system for monitoring child development come out of the €30 million too.
With the $7.5 million the agriculture ministry can complete the network of large agro-logistics centres it said in July would open in Sughd and Khatlon by the end of 2027, with the Sughd centre then about 70% built and the one in Jaloliddin Balkhi district more than 60%, the outlet recalled. Such centres answer the shortage of modern warehouses and cold storage that forces farmers to sell at harvest, when prices fall.
Better medical services for children, the training of specialists and a digital system for monitoring child development come out of the €30 million too.
Together the two sums come to $41.1 million by CAW’s arithmetic, the more than $40 million of the headline. Whether the $4.5 million sits inside the €30 million or beside it the article does not say, nor whether the money is a grant or a credit. Avesta carried the same signing on Monday morning.
