Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s co-founder and president, was received by Tokayev at Akorda on 23 October, the presidential press service reported. Huang proposed making Kazakhstan a hub of global physical AI, and Tokayev welcomed Nvidia’s partnership with Higgsfield, which Huang called Kazakhstan’s first technological unicorn.
Energy came first. “For the development of artificial intelligence, energy resources are needed first of all, and also people with knowledge in science, mathematics and technology. Kazakhstan has significant potential in each of these areas,” Huang said, in the Russian text of the Akorda readout.
Huang proposed making Kazakhstan a hub of global physical AI, and Tokayev welcomed Nvidia’s partnership with Higgsfield, which Huang called Kazakhstan’s first technological unicorn.
“Over the past year our cooperation has brought significant results. We are developing partnerships with Kazakh companies, including Firebird AI KZ Ltd and Kazakhtelecom, and we support Higgsfield, the first Kazakh technological unicorn,” he said.
Tokayev called the development of artificial intelligence and digitalisation a national priority and recalled that 2026 is Kazakhstan’s Year of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence. “This visit is of great importance to us in terms of giving a serious impulse to cooperation with Nvidia,” he said.
At the end of the meeting Tokayev awarded Huang the Order of Dostyk, first class, for his contribution to the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan. The readout names no investment figure, capacity or delivery date.
