Azeri Light falls 2.91% to $124.14 a barrel on Report’s Thursday print

Azerbaijan’s export blend fell $3.73, or 2.91%, to $124.14 a barrel on the world market, Report wrote at 09:58 Baku time on 15 October, after the $127.87 print of Wednesday. December Brent futures stood at $127.55 a barrel on the same page.

Bar chart of Azeri Light at 127.87 dollars a barrel on Wednesday 14 October and 124.14 dollars on Thursday 15 October marked in amber against a dashed line for the 65 dollar budget assumption.

Report’s print of Thursday morning puts Azeri Light at $124.14, down $3.73 on the previous print. Report’s previous print, $127.87, was its figure of Wednesday 14 October, on which CAW reported on Thursday.

The blend stays about $59 above the $65 a barrel on which Azerbaijan’s 2026 budget was built, by CAW’s arithmetic. CAW carried the blend above $125 on 9 October by APA’s print of that day.

Report’s previous print, $127.87, was its figure of Wednesday 14 October, on which CAW reported on Thursday.

Report’s energy section listed a Brent print of $104.3 a barrel at 09:39 on Thursday beside the Azeri Light item’s $127.55 for December futures. The two figures sit on two pages of one outlet and CAW has not reconciled them.

Azerbaijan produced almost 20 million tonnes of oil and 37.9 billion cubic metres of gas in nine months, Report reported in two headlines of 15 October, figures CAW has not read beyond the headlines.
