"I believe that from now on, with our other brothers, the Kyrgyz and the Kazakhs, joining us, we will hold larger exercises," Guler said at the range, in the account of APA's Karabakh bureau. "If we want peace and security, we must be ready for war," he said, and preparations take the whole regional situation into account, "but we will live in peace." He named no date and no exercise.
Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijan's defence minister, told the same audience that joint exercises raise the professionalism of personnel, exchange experience and improve interoperability, APA reported. The guests saw an exhibition of weapons, equipment, unmanned systems and aircraft newly taken into the Azerbaijani army's arsenal, the ministry said.

Uzbekistan's part is on paper as well as on the range. Defence minister Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov and Hasanov signed the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2027 during an official visit to Baku, with military and military-educational cooperation among the fields named, Kun.uz reported on Thursday morning from the Uzbek ministry's press service.
The UK was at the Baku exhibition too. Vernon Coaker, the UK's minister of state for defence, said in a video the embassy released that he had met the president and his ministerial counterparts again after a first visit in December 2025 and that 18 British companies were on the UK defence ministry's stand at ADEX, the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, for the first time, APA reported.
The drill runs beside ADEX, where Türkiye and Azerbaijan signed defence contracts worth over $500 million on Wednesday, as CAW reported on Thursday morning.
