Berdimuhamedov gives the Halk Maslahaty a 6.3% year, 41.2 billion manat of investment and 5,300 jobs and asks it for an industrial strategy to 2045

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov told the Halk Maslahaty’s session in Ashgabat that Turkmenistan’s growth “will amount to 6.3 percent” by the end of the year, that capital investment “will amount to over 41 billion 200 million manat” and that the jobs created by the year’s end “will amount to about 5 thousand 300”, the state portal’s text of the speech published late on Wednesday shows. The grain harvest delivered “over 1 million 400 thousand tonnes”, the cotton growers “will deliver 1 million 250 thousand tonnes”, the silk farms produced “over 2 thousand 100 tonnes of cocoons”, and the independence holiday will run 3 days, “27, 28 and 29 September”. He asked the session to adopt a National Strategy of Industrial Development for 2030 to 2045.

The figures are the state’s own and the only ones the day produced. Ashgabat has reported 6.3% or a few tenths from it for every year of this decade, and it is the number the ADB prints for 2026 and the EBRD for 2026 and 2027; the 41.2 billion manat of investment is 11.8 billion at the official rate of 3.5 to the dollar, and 5,300 jobs is the year’s count. In the president’s words, the session would “adopt a number of important documents” for the strategy’s execution.

What the speech leaves out is what the session’s chairman, the president’s father, may yet fill in. Awards and pardons have come with the September sessions before the anniversary; the working pensioners whose pensions the independent Chronicle of Turkmenistan says may be withdrawn were not in the president’s text. The CIS heads of state come to Avaza on 9 October, and the speech lists that meeting among the year’s summits.

The figures are the state’s own and the only ones the day produced.

Three days of holiday for the 35th anniversary and a strategy that runs 19 years past it are the 2 calendars of the speech. The first is a decision; the second is a request to a body that has not, on the record of its September sessions, declined one.
