The documents include a memorandum of understanding between Xlinks and the Green Corridor Alliance, a road map between UK Export Finance and Azerbaijan’s ministry of digital development and transport, and cooperation documents with British agencies and companies on transport, education and other areas, by Azertag’s list. Sarwar, the minister of state for trade at the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade and the commission’s co-chair, handed Aliyev a letter from the prime minister and said Britain intends to widen cooperation, and the meeting discussed energy, trade, business, security, the defence industry, data centres, artificial intelligence, agriculture and education, by the presidential readout. Aliyev said the two countries had been close partners since the restoration of independence.

Xlinks is the British developer of long-distance subsea power links, and the alliance’s name points to the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe green energy corridor that Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary agreed in December 2022. The same day Azertag carried, as a video headline, a British minister’s line that Britain may put more than 5 billion pounds into financing projects in Azerbaijan, with no instrument, base or speaker in the headline.
Aliyev also told the Pre-COP leaders’ event in Fiji by address that Azerbaijan will keep supporting small island developing states in the climate effort, Azertag reported at 15:56.
