Azerbaijan's export blend was priced at $97.61 a barrel on Wednesday morning, up $4.72 or 5.08% on the day, APA reported; the 2026 state budget was drawn at $65.

Wednesday's print followed $92.89 on Tuesday. APA's note gave no driver; the oil market's wrap for the same morning, in Bloomberg's headline, put the move on fresh US and Iranian attacks clouding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The 2026 state budget was drawn at $65 a barrel, by APA's account. Wednesday's price stands $32.61 above that line, half again the planning figure.

Wednesday's print followed $92.89 on Tuesday.

What the gap is worth to the treasury depends on how long the print holds; Wednesday's report carried no revenue figure.
